about
'Nemesis' is the official second album of The Heavenly Void written, composed and produced by Ayslyn Wren. Through months of hard work, this is the biggest album I've ever created from the amount of cut songs and revisions alone. It is a labor of love and I'm so happy to finally share it with you all!
I wanted this album to seem like the exploration of a virtual mind, as though the songs themselves were made by a computer trying to communicate with you however it can. At times that may be joyful, melancholy or aggressive. It's a Lo-Fi album at heart but my electronic inspiration comes from all over the place and it may at times dabble and mix different genres.
The themes are deeply rooted in cyberpunk and retro-futurism. The story of a lonely machine, the emotions it experiences and its journey to become validated as a living creature.
